11. Gabaland

13. Arboretum of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Mardakan

Spend a day enjoying this lush collection of plants from around the world. Featuring trees, cacti, ponds, and greenhouses, this arboretum is home to 1,700 species year-round. Started in 1926 by botanist Nikolai Vavilov, the botanical site has grown and thrived over the years and is now run by the National Academy of Sciences. While in Mardakan, stop by the medieval Mardakan Castle for a view of history in this region.
